Spanish & Culture Teacher
Job Description

NLA is seeking a qualified and innovative Spanish language and culture teacher for the 2024-2025 school year for grades 7-12. This full-time position requires necessary Minnesota licensure (Spanish 7-12 or K-12) or an ability to obtain the appropriate licensure.

North Lakes Academy (NLA) is a K-12 charter school located in Forest Lake, Minnesota, a community about 25 miles north of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The school was organized by a group of Forest Lake area parents and teachers seeking an alternative to the large junior high schools available to the children in the community. NLA was chartered in the spring of 1999 and opened for operation that fall. In 2009, we expanded to include grades 9-12, and grew again in 2019 when we opened a new facility to add grades K-4.

Currently, we operate an elementary campus (grades K-6) and a secondary campus (grades 7-12) both in Forest Lake, serving a total of 550 students. At all grade levels, we embrace the principles of small class sizes, personalized learning, and a diverse liberal arts education, which includes fostering the emotional intelligence of our students and building strong relationships between families, staff, and students.
